The Planet Walk Exhibition is a 3D, walk-thru, scale model of the Solar System. The Westcliffe exhibit starts at the west end of Main Street in Westcliffe and then extends east up Main Street through downtown with stations for Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and ending with the Neptune display station in front of the High School. The total distance for the walk is 3/4 mile.

The Planet Walk is a permanent exhibition (whereas Planet Quest is portable or temporary). 

 

Planet Walk will initially feature 10 stations including: a Welcome Station, Sun Station, and 8 planet stations built by X-Trails company that specializes in planet walk exhibitions.

 

Then, the Silver Cliff portion continues down Main Street through Silver Cliff ending 3 miles east of town and will feature the Kuiper Belt, Comets, dwarf planets including Pluto, and objects out to interstellar space.
